Q. I am an international volunteer wanting to come to Samoa to help in the recovery, who should I contact?

A. All international volunteers are encouraged to call the Samoa Red Cross or stop into the Red Cross Offices in Apia. when they get into the country. 

Q. How can I help the relief effort in Samoa?

A. Local people can donate water, water containers, buckets, cooking supplies, washing powder, shovels, bush knives, rakes, axes, chain saws, hygiene products, bedding, mosquito nets and shelter materials as well as money.  

Q. How can I help the relief effort in Samoa if I am living in another country?

A. The fastest and most effective way to donate is to send money through your National Red Cross or Red Crescent Society. This can be converted into what people in Samoa need right now.

Q. How can I volunteer?

A. People wanting to volunteer are encouraged to call the Samoa Red Cross or stop in to the Red Cross Offices in Apia.  You can also go to Red Cross distribution points in the effected areas, call the Red Cross to find out the locations.
